Two eight three. Now second generation time. First generation climate ethics focused on whether there is a climate problem, what caused it, who is responsible, and how to apportion blame. Now second generation time. It focuses on the full extent of the problem as a problem for the adaptability of our form of life -our social and political systems, our values, our habits, our technology and economics- to a new world climate. It focuses on responsibility in its many forms and extents working this adaptation and restraining foregone climate change from the worst effects on the future.
